Pay your mortgage and bring it current. Money talks
Put the home up for sale FIRST. Take the best offer you can get to the lender. If they don’t think they can get MORE if they foreclose, they will accept the offer. This save them the TIME and EXPENSE of foreclosing. You will NEED a good REALTOR to collect the statistics to convince the lender they won’t get more.
If you actually want to keep the house, you need to bring the mortgage current and STAY that way. If you can PROVE you can handle the payments, the bank MAY agree to allow you to defer the past due payments to the end of the loan, or pay them off over a few years.
Pay your mortgage………you signed on now its your responsibility……..
Ask them to produce the note of the mortgage. That should keep them busy for awhile.
http://foreclosuremortgageoptions.com/ has everything you need to know about how to protect your house from becoming foreclosed, foreclosure laws, and how to buy houses on foreclosure auctions.
Talk to some lawyers and see what help they can offer. Bankruptcy is an option and that will stop the foreclosure for awhile. Call 877-323-0821 for a no charge bankruptcy consultation with an attorney. You can also explore the possibility of doing a mortgage loan modification. A good site I used for my mortgage modification was http://www.credit-hub.net/loan-modification.
