]]> My husband and I have an immediate and heavy financial need right now. In order to do the 401 k hardship withdrawal, the reasons have to be for purchasing a primary residence, educational tution, prevention of foreclosure, or medical invoice for a procedure that has been done or something showing that medical procedures cannot be done until the amount is satisfied. I was supposed to have surjury on June 10, but they needed the payment then and I didn’t have it. Because we are in this financial situation, I didn’t want to sign us up to make payments because we just don’t have the liquid cash, or any other way to get the money for that matter. I submitted to them a letter from the hospital that gives the estimate of the surjury costs, I sent in the hospital consent forms for the surjury and my surjury letter, but they denied it. I talked to the hospital about getting a bill, but they say don’t have anything to give until something is done, ie like after you have the suj\rjury is when bills are generated. I am not sure of what else I can do. If you have suggestions, have been thru this or can help me in any way, please respond to this. Please only respond if you think you can help. I wish we didn’t have to go into his 401 k, but we have exhausted all other options. What I am asking is if anyone knows what I can do or say to get them to approve the financial hardship papers. I do still have my doctor’s office notes from the diagnosis that I didn’t send to them. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. We need to get this approved so that I have the money for the surjury and my aftercare things. No, we do not have medical insurance as I teach for a private school and medical insurance is not in effect during the summer months while we are off. Unfortunately, waiting till school is back in is not an option as my foot is broken. Hopefully I gave enough details, please email me if I wasn’t clear enough.
